Day 1: NJP → Lepchajagat :
The journey from NJP to Lepchajagat via the Mirik route is a scenic transition from the riverbeds of the plains to the dense, misty pine forests of the high hills. Your first stop is the charming riverside hamlet of Dudhia, where you can take a quick break by the Balason River before the climb begins through the expansive Longview Tea Estate. As you reach higher altitudes, the Tingling Viewpoint offers a spectacular bird’s-eye view of rolling tea gardens, leading you directly into Mirik, where you can spend time by the tranquil Sumendu Lake or visit the peaceful Bokar Monastery. The drive then follows the Indo-Nepal border, providing a unique stop at the Simana Viewpoint for breathtaking mountain vistas and a chance to shop at the nearby Pashupati Market. Before reaching your final destination, you will pass through the quiet woods of Sukhia Pokhari and the twin lakes of Jorepokhri, eventually arriving in the "silent valley" of Lepchajagat, a serene hamlet tucked away in a thick forest of pine and oak.

Day 2: Lepchajagat → Darjeeling (Local Sightseeing)
The second day begins with a short and incredibly scenic drive of about 15–18 km from the quiet woods of Lepchajagat to Darjeeling, taking roughly 45 minutes to an hour. The route passes through the misty, pine-fringed roads of Ghoom, where you can stop at the world’s highest railway station and the historic Ghoom Monastery before reaching the main town. Once in Darjeeling, your full-day sightseeing typically kicks off with a visit to the Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, famous for red pandas and snow leopards, and the adjacent Himalayan Mountaineering Institute. From there, you can enjoy a bird's-eye view of the tea estates from the Darjeeling Ropeway, watch climbers at Tenzing Rock, and walk through the sprawling Happy Valley Tea Estate. The afternoon is perfect for seeking peace at the Japanese Peace Pagoda and the Tibetan Refugee Self Help Centre, before finally ending your day with a relaxed evening at Chowrasta Mall for local snacks and shopping

Day 3: Darjeeling → Dawaipani (Offbeat Village Stay)
he journey from Darjeeling to Dawaipani is a relatively short but breathtaking descent of about 15–20 km, taking approximately 1 to 1.5 hours to reach this secluded hilltop hamlet. As you leave the bustle of Darjeeling, the route takes you through the scenic Peshok Road, offering opportunities to stop at the Lamahatta Eco Park with its towering pine trees and the sacred mountain lake. You will then take a sharp turn into a rugged, unpaved forest trail that leads you deep into the heart of the Senchal Wildlife Sanctuary zone. Dawaipani itself is a true offbeat gem, situated directly opposite the Kanchenjunga range, offering what many consider the most majestic and unobstructed 180-degree view of the snow-peaks and the glittering lights of Darjeeling town at night. The rest of your day is best spent trekking through the surrounding thick pine forests, visiting local orange orchards, or simply relaxing in a traditional wooden homestay to soak in the profound silence and raw natural beauty of the Eastern Himalayas

Day 4: Dawaipani → NJP Drop
The final leg of your journey from Dawaipani to NJP is a scenic descent of about 75 km that takes approximately 3 to 4 hours, offering a peaceful farewell to the hills. After enjoying a final sunrise over the Kanchenjunga from your homestay, you will descend through the rugged forest trails to join the Peshok Road, where you can stop at the Tinchuley Viewpoint or the Lamahatta Eco Park if you missed them earlier. The route then winds through the lush Peshok Tea Gardens, providing a spectacular last look at the Teesta-Rangeet Confluence (Lovers Meet View Point) before you hit the main highway. As you reach the plains via Sevoke, you will pass the iconic Coronation Bridge and drive through the dense greenery of the Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary, finally reaching the bustling town of Siliguri and your drop-off point at NJP Railway Station.
